           Languages spoken in Gilgit Baltastan
Many languages are spoken in Gilgit Baltastan such as Burushaski, Shina, Urdu, Balti, and Wakhi. The national language of Gilgit Baltastan is Shina and national language of Hunza nagir is Burushaski.
Mostly people in Gilgit Baltastan speak and understand Shina language. Danyore, oshikandass, Muhammadabad, jalalabad and all the areas in Gilgit & Danyore and bagrote are the Shina speakers. Some places of hunza-nagir like khanaabad, nasirabad and ganish people also speak Shina language. This language is discovered over 900 years ago.
People of hunza nagir such as karim abad, Ali abad and all upper hunza people speak Burushaski language. Burushaski language is discovered over 1200 years ago. This language is invented for the transfer secrete message in the battle many years ago. After many years this language is used for communication with each other and now a day this language is spoken in many areas in Gilgit Baltastan. This language is also spoken in few parts of Egypt.
Urdu language is the national language of Pakistan. This language is spoken in all over Pakistan. This language is the official language of Gilgit Baltastan and used in all offices, schools etc.
Balti language is spoken in all Baltastan and ganche. National language of Baltastan is Balti.
Wakhi language is spoken in pander and all gazir side. 60% of people speaks Wakhi language and few people speaks Burushaski and Shina language
  A small minority of people also speak Pashto.

History of Gilgit

Gilgit Baltastan, which was most recently known as the Northern Areas presently consists of seven districts, has a population approaching one million, and has an area of approximately 29000 square miles and shares borders with Afghanistan, China, and India. Gilgit Baltastan borders the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan to the northwest, the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China to the north, Pakistan's Azad Kashmir to the southwest, Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the west, and northeast and the Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir to the southeast.                        

On 1 November 1947 the new commander and chief of Gilgit scouts Mr. Mirza Hassan Khan take his charge and the new present of Gilgit baltastan Mr. Raja Shah Rais Khan chosen by the people of Gilgit. The Gilgit scouts battle with the Hindus and skies and make away them and make the Gilgit baltastan a new state in the world and after run their government for 16 day the government of Gilgit baltastan, decided on the call of government of Pakistan to make Gilgit baltastan a state of Pakistan.

1947 to 1970 Government of Pakistan established Gilgit Agency and Baltastan Agency. Gilgit Baltastan, which was most recently known as the Northern Areas.
